Perfect Pinterest Garden (Ninajirachi & underscores Remix) officially dropped on September 18, 2026. The release came pretty unexpectedly, together with the announcement of SMILE! Plus+, a remix project built around Porter Robinson’s 2024 album SMILE! :D. The collaborator lineup is amazing, including Frost Children, G Jones, Ninajirachi & underscores, Hatsune Miku & Jamie Paige, and Nitepunk. Ninajirachi debuted the track with underscores during Coachella in April 2026.

In the original version, Porter fantasizes about disappearing into an ordinary life where nobody recognizes him, while also questioning whether people would still care about him without his identity as an artist.

Rather than simply calling it a remix, Ninajirachi and underscores almost created a brand-new version based on Porter’s original. They added their own vocals and sonic signatures, while also rewriting part of the lyrical perspective. The original focuses more on the closeness between an artist and an audience, while the remix can be understood as bringing the same idea of simulation into a romantic relationship. The slightly absurd lyrics also feel awkwardly cute.

It’s a great simulation, but the quiet is loud, baby

Musically, the remix speeds up the original and pushes it toward a more club-oriented electronic sound. The drums are much denser than in the original, and an 8-bit-style synth lead comes in during the chorus. I especially love how they chop Porter’s vocal into stuttering sixteenth-note fragments, making it sound slightly glitchy and turning the vocal itself into part of the rhythm.
