The pre-chorus keeps the arrangement minimal, with the drums maintaining a steady, house-feeling pulse underneath. I especially love octodaddio’s vocal delivery every time. Her breath phrasing is controlled, with just enough space between lines to keep the vocal intimate.

During the chorus, the synth takes on an almost video-game-like quality, which is especially interesting given octodaddio’s background in video game music, though the connection may simply be a stylistic coincidence. A small, repetitive synth riff gradually builds the energy.
