On Aug 7, Timur Nova released his new single Say You Won’t, such a pretty R&B track. The production is super neat and clean, and nothing feels overcrowded, so Timur Nova’s vocal gets to sit right in the middle of everything. It has that soft, polished sound that makes the song really easy to fall into.

Lyrically, it’s basically him getting lost in his own head. There’s a lot of insecurity in the song, like he’s thinking too much, worrying about what the other person might say, and making himself anxious before anything has even happened. I actually like that the production stays so calm while his thoughts clearly aren’t.

It’s only a little over two minutes, but I don’t think it needs to be longer. Timur gets the idea across, gives us a really nice vocal performance, and gets out. Say You Won’t is simple, pretty, and honestly just a really solid R&B song.
