Henrik’s The Bottom of It is one of those songs that feels easy to like right away.

Released on July 3, it is a catchy new country-ish pop track about two people who clearly have things to talk about, but keep dancing around the actual problems. The whole “I bring the whiskey, you bring the problems” hook is super simple, but that is kind of why it works. It turns a messy relationship conversation into something warm, fun, and very singable.

I also like that the song does not try too hard to be dramatic. It is more like: we are not fine, we are not fully broken either, so let’s sit down, drink a little, and figure out what this is. That feels very real.

Wish it was even longer, maybe with an extra bridge? But whatever, we’ll get to the bottom of it.
