On June 5, 2026, Ryan Beatty released Secret Language, the first single from his upcoming album Sweet Torture. It feels like a grand opening for sad white boy summer, in the best possible way.

The track carries the weight of a revamped 2026 classic love story, only this time, when the words finally come out, the language is already broken. There is a nostalgic folk-rock tenderness running through it, built around a record that feels both blissful and quietly powerful.

The instrumental is soft and grand, but also strangely blank in places, like it is leaving space for whatever grief the listener is carrying. It may not rush to explain itself, but it still lands as the kind of song that can heal whoever is hurting in the early summer light.
